Using the Electronic Manual

Introduction

This manual provides on-line documentation of Multipath's Fast Matrix Solver, FMS. It has been designed to help you find the information you need as rapidly as possible.

The manual is divided into the following layers:

FMS Manual Home Page
This is where you just were.
Table of Contents
This provides direct access to chapters and subchapters.
Chapters and Appendices
These are major groups of information.
Subchapters
Where appropriate, the material in chapters has been divided into subchapters.
Subroutine and Parameter Descriptions
The subroutine and parameter descriptions are similar to Unix man pages. Each description provides all the information you need to know for using that subroutine or parameter.

All references to subroutines and parameters have been linked throughout this manual. If you are looking at an example and want to find more information about what the subroutine does, just click on the subroutine name.

Where appropriate, information in subchapters has also been linked.

Buttons and Links

The most frequently used button is your browser's "BACK" button. Whenever you click on a subroutine or parameter description and want to return to where you were, use "BACK".

Go Up This button moves you up one level.
